Mowing Down the Competition:  The Trimax Triumph

Members of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) BOP/Waikato were given an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Trimax manufacturing and design hub. This visit provided an insightful look into how Trimax has grown from humble beginnings to become a world leader in commercial mowing.

Chief Operating Officer, Gareth Fergus, Group Managing Director, Bob Sievwright, and their team showcased the journey from their initial dream of supporting the kiwifruit industry to now supplying tractor-powered mowers to municipal parks, airports, sod farms and golf courses globally.  The attention to detail logistics involves in sourcing parts and distributing whole products and parts globally in forty foot containers.  With manufacturing operations across four countries, Trimax’s success story is truly impressive.

Everyone who attended was inspired by the Trimax team’s relentless pursuit of self-improvement, passion, and commitment to the environment. The ability to service 25-year-old mowers is a testament to the high-quality standards they maintain.

CILT welcomes individual and corporate members who are eager to explore logistics and transport operations, develop their talent, and take advantage of the networking opportunities that CILT offers.
