The December issue of Logistics & Transport NZ highlighted the 2025 CILT Annual Forum and Awards Dinner, which brought together leaders from across New Zealand’s transport and logistics sector. This follow-up recognises several additional award winners whose work reflects the importance of research and practical safety leadership in strengthening the industry.

The 2025 CILT Annual Forum and Awards Dinner brought New Zealand’s transport and logistics community together, this year in Wellington, to recognise the people and organisations lifting performance across the sector.

The CILT Southern Section brought nearly 50 people together at The Loft in Christchurch late last year to celebrate the best and brightest in the logistics and transport sectors. Against the backdrop of a challenging yet dynamic year, the event served as a platform to recognise outstanding contributions, innovative thinking, and excellence across the sector, reinforcing the vital role transport and logistics play in keeping New Zealand moving.

The CILT 2023 Awards Dinner featured a newly established international study award as well as a woman winning a top honour. Industry members, award winners, and prominent figures gathered at JetPark Hotel Auckland Airport & Conference Centre to celebrate outstanding achievements in the sector.

At the 2023 Annual Forum & Awards Dinner, exceptional Kiwis in the logistics and transport industry received recognition. They included Tayla Le Quesne, a talented young woman who earned the title of Rising Star: Young Employee of the Year.

Success is measured by hard work, perseverance, and dedication, so it comes as no surprise that Abbey Clapp has been awarded the 2023 Young Achiever of the Year by CILT (sponsored by C3) in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments.

The CILT’s Transport Research and Educational Trust is calling for applications for two personal development grants of up to $5,000 each.

In the recent King’s Birthday and Coronation Honours List, Jo was made a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit. CILT welcomes this recognition of her extensive contribution to transport and the wider community in New Zealand, and warmly congratulates her on the honour.
