Logistics operations have for a long time, made use of data to improve performance. While this is of course not new, what is new, is the vast increase in volume and quality of data that can be captured, the rapidly reducing cost of capturing and processing that data and the interconnections the data has with physical systems, especially process automation. Industry 4.0 is the 4th industrial revolution – the application of cyber-physical systems. How can we in New Zealand take advantage of the rapidly advancing 4.0 technologies to improve the performance of our transport and logistics services, especially in this post-Covid World we now live in? We have been lagging behind the rest of the world in adopting Industry 4.0 methods and post-Covid, we cannot afford to stay behind any longer. CILT Northern invites you to come listen online 7:30-8:30pm on Wednesday 24 June, to Richard Mahoney from Studio Logistic talk about 4.0 technologies and how they can be combined to make your transport and logistics operations better and your business more resilient in the face of sudden changes. We’re extending this invite, to all CILT NZ Members nationwide. You’ll learn: – How IoT sensors and Vision Systems can directly measure the performance of your operations – How data from outside the DC, realtime location systems, predictive analytics, ‘digital twins’ and automation, are used to improve your performance, your bottom line and ensure your business can cope with change – planned and unplanned. Register right now for this latest CILT Northern (online) event. This is one you can’t afford to miss. See you on 24 June!
