A Site Visit to Waste Management NZ
Get ready to learn and experience the operational challenges of waste management in New Zealand. We are very excited to have a visit to WM New Zealand on Wednesday June 11th.
WM New Zealand is Aotearoa’s leading materials recovery, recycling, and waste management provider, with over 2,000 team members across over 90 locations. Each year, WM collect over 1,000,000 tonnes of waste and recycle well over 200,000 tonnes. WM are the largest composter in New Zealand, the largest waste-to-energy provider and have the largest commercial electric fleet in New Zealand, all powered by electricity from waste. WM are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to redirect, neutralise and use waste.
Hosted by Mike McSaveney GM of the Upper North Island region you will have the opportunity to learn about the complexities of the collections, recycling and landfill operations. You will be able to view an electric collection truck, their workshops and learn about the ongoing opportunities to support the circular economy all at their state of the art head offices in East Tamaki.
There will be opportunities for networking and to meet WM Operations Management. Light refreshments will be provided.
