Marine Weather Webinar – Met Service & Shipping New Zealand

Ever wondered how marine weather was forecasted and what all those symbols mean?

Met Service & Shipping New Zealand invite CILT members to join them for an informative webinar from weather providers MetService and learn about the marine weather with an overview of impacts to commercial shipping and how crucial it is to our Island nation.  There are a maximum of 10 Spaces available to CILT members and they will be allocated on a first-in-first served basis.  Please mention you are a CILT member when registering via email to rose.harawira@gac.com.  Rose will provide the email link to the first 10 CILT member registrations

  • An overview of how to read marine weather
  • Different conditions/parameters: wind, swell, current, rain (for cargo types like stockfeed, fertiliser)
  • MetService/MetOcean link to commercial shipping and forecasting – commercia weather services
  • How critical weather is to ships when on our coast.
