Abstract

In this presentation, Simon and Colin will discuss the legal regimes that regulate the supply chain, the impact of global events such as the war in Ukraine and sanctions, and the changing legal landscape for e-commerce, perishable goods, and ESG.

Simon is a transport and trade law specialist.

Simon was previously a partner in the international law firm HFW.

Simon regularly assists clients with commercial issues arising from domestic and international trade, including advising on the sale and purchase of commodities, advising on and drafting commercial maritime contracts and handling disputes in domestic and international forums. He is rated as one of New Zealand’s leading transport lawyers in The Legal 500, Chambers and Partners and Doyles legal directories.

Colin is a transport and insurance law specialist.

Colin assists clients with disputes involving international trade, international carriage, charter parties, marine insurance, freight forwarders, and pleasure craft. He has a particular interest in legal research and law and economics.
