DESCRIPTION:The Canterbury Accelerated Pavement Testing Indoor Facility (CAPTIF) Road Research Centre carries out accelerated road pavement testing. The facility tests different types of pavement and surfacing under a revolving\, loaded dual-tyred truck wheel that closely replicates actual road conditions. \nJoin us for an exclusive CILT members event featuring Dr David Alabaster\, a leading expert in road pavement technology. Dr Alabaster will share insights into cutting-edge pavement research and the practical applications shaping New Zealand’s road network. \nFollowing the presentation\, attendees will enjoy a guided tour of the CAPTIF testing facilities\, witnessing state-of-the-art equipment in action as it evaluates pavement performance under real-world conditions.
